Character Progression Guide: The Classic Midnight L2

Welcome to The Classic Midnight L2. This guide was created to help you, step by step, understand the world of Lineage 2, from your first minutes to the search for the strongest equipment in the game. Even if you have never played before, follow the instructions below to ensure a fast and efficient progression.

The Beginning of Your Journey (Level 1 to 10)

Upon creating your character, you will start your journey in the temple corresponding to your race and class.

We strongly recommend that you do not stray too far from this starting area. It has the ideal monsters for your first levels and easy access to teleportation for the next regions. Level up your character by hunting in this basic area until you reach level 10.

Starting Area

Leveling Up Your Character (Level 10+)

Once you reach between level 7 and 10, you should look for the NPC called Global Gatekeeper (NPCs are server-controlled characters with whom you can interact). Through this NPC, you can teleport to your first official leveling area.

Global Teleport

Golden Rule for Beginners: Always choose the map with the appropriate indication for your current level (at this first moment, look for the recommended option for levels 10-20).

Always hunt monsters in areas recommended for your level to progress faster. Each map requires minimum equipment; trying to advance to stronger maps too early will cause you to waste many resources (like potions) and your experience gain will be much less effective.

The Server Capital: Giran

On our server, the main city is called Giran. It is the famous meeting point for players. Whenever you are defeated in combat or use the item "Scroll of Escape" (a magical scroll that safely teleports you), you will go to Giran.

City of Giran

In this city, you will find three NPCs that will be essential for your entire progression in the game:

  • Visual Skin Lilith: This is an NPC that allows you to try on premium outfits sold in the store. It is worth remembering that outfits are aesthetic items; they do not give additional strength or defense stats, they just add a touch of beauty and exclusivity to your character.
  • GM Shop Umbriel: This is your main NPC. Here we will take care of item creation and the purchase of precious utilities for your "farm" (time dedicated to getting money and resources in the game), as well as offering various services such as bank storage, "augments" (special weapon enhancements), among others.
  • Donate Manager Volcrys: This is the NPC for those who purchase the "The Classic Golden Coin " currency. At this NPC, you can buy outfits, refinement scrolls (scrolls to upgrade weapon levels), among other featured products.

The Equipment System (Grades)

The server is based on equipment divided by "Grade". But what are these Grades that players talk about so much?

Grades represent the power level of the items and are directly linked to your characters level. You can only equip items of a certain Grade if you have reached the level required by it. They work in the following order, from weakest to strongest:

  • D-Grade D-Grade - Starter items for characters above level 20.
  • C-Grade C-Grade - Intermediate items for characters above level 40.
  • B-Grade B-Grade - Advanced items for characters above level 52.
  • A-Grade A-Grade - Elite items for characters above level 61.
  • S-Grade S-Grade - Supreme items for characters above level 76.

Equipment Grades

How to Acquire Grade Items?

The basic and main currency of the game is called Adena. Each equipment grade has its cost and acquisition method. The vast majority can be bought directly from the GM Shop Umbriel NPC, in Giran.

Costs for D-Grade Equipment:

  • Weapons: 75,000 Adena
  • Armor: 40,000 Adena
  • Shields: 7,000 Adena
  • Accessories: 7,000 Adena (each)

Costs for C-Grade Equipment:

  • Weapons: 2,500,000 Adena
  • Armor: 1,500,000 Adena
  • Shields: 500,000 Adena
  • Accessories: 565,000 Adena (each)

Costs for B-Grade Equipment:

  • Weapons: 7,000,000 Adena
  • Armor: 4,000,000 Adena
  • Shields: 2,500,000 Adena
  • Accessories: 800,000 Adena (each)

Costs for A-Grade Equipment:

Starting from this Grade, in addition to common Adena, you will need a second currency called Ancient Adena.

  • Weapons: 55,000,000 Adena and 75,000 Ancient Adena
  • Armor: 40,000,000 Adena and 50,000 Ancient Adena
  • Shields: 2,500,000 Adena
  • Accessories: 15,000,000 Adena and 1,000 Ancient Adena (each)

The Special Dynamics of S-Grade:

S-Grade supreme items have a completely different dynamic. They are not bought ready-made in stores, but rather crafted. The process works as follows:

  • You must resort to a Dwarven Warsmith / Maestro character (the games blacksmiths) who has already learned the recipe for the desired item.
  • When viewing the recipe, you will discover all the parts and materials required to craft that specific piece.
  • You must buy or collect the items required by the recipe using the servers three main farming resources: Adena, Ancient Adena, and Midnight Coin.
